Tutira Lodge is set on a working farm, where pigs, sheep and cows roam acres of rolling hills.
You soon realise that the Farm also acts as a local hub where neighbours and friends gather to to share stories and a beer or two, so you're sure to meet some interesting local characters during your stay!
As well as being home to pigs, cows and sheep, you'll also meet other farm residents, 'Chester', the deer and 'Butchy', the dog.
The Tutira area has been farmed by the Ashton family for over 60 years, so you will find no better guide to the local area.
Nick Ashton
Over the last twenty years, Nick has been making constant changes to improve the Homestay. Being an adrenalin junkie, Nick enjoys racing his classic sidecar during the summer months. When you get to the Homestay, you will see the big photo board with photos from Nick's racing experiences over the past 30 years.
Nick always look forward to meeting new people and being revisited by family and old friends.
